Fertilizer Schedule:
Organic Fertilizers:
Mustard Cake: Once every 2-3 months, rotating with groundnut cake. Provides essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur.
1 KG fermented in 5 L of water for 3 days and then diluted in water, 1:10 ratio.
Groundnut Cake: Once every 2-3 months, rotating with mustard cake. Rich in nitrogen and potassium, promoting healthy growth.

Arka Microbial Consortium: Every 20 days, applied along with organic foliar sprays. Promotes soil health and nutrient uptake.

Sasya Poshak Rasa A, B, and Seaweed Fertilizer: These can be rotated every 20 days, but avoid using all three simultaneously. Each offers specific benefits like micronutrients, improved root development, and stress tolerance.

Synthetic Fertilizers:
Suplhate of Potash (00:00:50): While hibiscus appreciate all nutrients, potassium takes the cake: It's the secret ingredient for their growth and vitality. Look for fertilizers with high potassium content (the last number written on the fertilizer pack - NPK) to unlock their full blooming potential. Potassium plays a crucial role in various plant processes, including photosynthesis, water management, and protein synthesis. SOP provides readily available K, leading to stronger stems, bigger blooms, and improved pest resistance.
Calcium Nitrate: Reserve for seedlings aged 3 months to 1 year, following specific needs. Calcium plays a crucial role in regulating how plants absorb and utilize other essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. This improves the nutrient uptake efficacy.
Dosage: (above two): 5 grm in 1 L water every two months
Hibiscus and high phosphorus don't exactly bloom together. Let me raise my hand and admit: I used to be a high Phosphorous offender! Skip high-phosphorus fertilizers like "00:52:34" and focus on potassium-rich options like Sulfate of Potash (00:00:50) or Muriate of potash, (00:00:60). Remember, while phosphorus is vital for young seedling root development (think 5-12 months old), mature hibiscus thrive on a different diet.

Soil Testing: Let's face it, soil testing isn't exactly the hottest topic in home gardening. Many of us (myself included!) reach for the fertilizer bag first, hoping for magical results. But soil testing offers a scientific approach to happy plants.
