The Biodynamic Planting Calendar
Biodynamic planting takes into account the influence of cosmic and lunar rhythms on plant growth. Planting and harvesting are often timed according to lunar phases and other celestial events.
Below is a super simplified, dumbed down version of the Biodynamic Planting Calendar for 2024.
-
Green boxes: Best dates for gardening activities. They include Full Moon, Moon opposite Saturn (MOS), Equinox and Solstice. (Equinox and Solstice are not present in every month!).
-
Red boxes: Dates to avoid gardening activities. They include New Moon, Apogee, Perigee, Node.
-
Green box with red border: The same date is both favourable and avoidable but the timing varies. E.g Perigee + Full Moon or MOS + Apogee.
